Estimación de la caída de presión en flujos bifásicos gas-líquido mediante un modelo de regresión polinomial.

La caída de presión en flujos bifásicos gas-líquido constituye un parámetro fundamental para el diseño, operación y optimización de sistemas de transporte en tuberías, debido a su influencia directa en el consumo energético y el desempeño hidráulico. En este trabajo se propone un modelo de regresión polinomial para estimar la caída de presión en una tubería horizontal de 9.15 m de longitud y 0.0254 m de diámetro, utilizando una base de datos experimental compuesta por 751 registros correspondientes a sistemas Aire-Agua, Aire-Glicerina, Aire-Surfactante, Aire-CaBr2 y Aire-Surfactante puro. Como variables de entrada se emplearon el tipo de sistema, densidad, viscosidad, tensión superficial, velocidad superficial del líquido y velocidad superficial del gas. A diferencia de métodos basados en redes neuronales y algoritmos de aprendizaje automático, el modelo propuesto presenta una menor complejidad computacional y una interpretación directa de las variables involucradas. Los coeficientes fueron ajustados mediante regresión por mínimos cuadrados, obteniéndose un coeficiente de determinación R² = 0.9608 y un RMSE de 0.2425, lo que evidencia una adecuada capacidad para reproducir el comportamiento experimental de la caída de presión en los sistemas analizados. Los resultados muestran que la regresión polinomial constituye una alternativa práctica para la predicción de parámetros hidráulicos en flujos bifásicos.
